My Shure E2c earphones bit the dust last week. I've been very happy with the sound quality of these earphones in the 1+ year I've had them. Too bad they didn't last. Shure's web site graciously offers flat rate repairs for earphones at $55 per repair. Nice price for a pair of earphones I can buy for $60 these days.
Anyway, I bought a pair of Etymotic ER-6i earphones. I've been listening to them since yesterday. While they're accurate sounding, I feel that the bass response is a little lacking. I like accurate, but I do like to feel the music a little more. These sound signature on these are pretty flat and laid back.
So, back to the drawing board. I think I'm going to order Shure E3c earphones from Amazon.com today. They're the next step up from my dearly-departed E2cs and are supposed to have a better bass response than the Etymotics.

I've got folders!
My DirecTiVos finally got their 6.2 software update last night. I really like the folders feature. Very convenient for navigating the Now Playing list. Still no Home Media Option though... I need to do some hacking to get that.
